About Team Renegade Rangers
All of this is Jed Meininger's fault! Really it is! LOL
I met Jed a little over three years ago when he began dating my daughter. Shortly thereafter he invited me to go play paintball with him and his friends. Now I've hunted for just about anything that walks or flies for over twenty years so at this point I'm thinking....You want to give me the chance to "hunt" you and it's all legal? Heck Yea!!! LOL
Well that was the beginning of the end for me. Once he had me hooked on playing and spending my meeger life savings on all kinds of paintball equipment, We attend our first Scenario in the L.A. area. Once at the game, we noticed how several groups had formed teams and at how effective some of the good teams were. We went about building our own team based on players who first and foremost believed in honorable play, played hard aggressive ball, and who had a playing style similiar or complimentary to ours. What most people would refer to as sniper or woodsball players who enjoyed the tactical aspects of working as a team in Scenario play. We also look for players who have a knack for role playing. That is why we chose the name we did for the team.
The name Renegade Rangers is derived from the movie "Basic" starring John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson. It relates to our team's tactical play on the field as well as to the role playing capabilities just as the Rangers did in the film for the sole purpose of recruiting the Army's Official Investigating Officer played by Connie Nielsen. Like the Trailer says "Deception is our most dangerous weapon".
We enjoy the Brotherhood and comaraderie at the games. And have gained a lot from such teams as Argent Force, Delta Project, and Team CT. Our goal is to support and help other players and teams enjoy Scenario games as much we do. As our name implies, we are a crazy, wild team who will "lead the way" to the front of the pack and to having a great time!
